 At Peak Architects, our journey is a fusion of inspiration, tradition, and innovation. Founded in 2019 by the visionary architect Esan Rahmani, our name pays homage to the legendary Zaha Hadid’s leisure club atop the Peak in Hong Kong – a symbol of architectural excellence and boundless creativity.

 Our Founder's Inspiration

 Esan's passion for architecture was kindled in the sawdust-laden air of his father's workshop, where he witnessed the transformative power of timber and craftsmanship. This early exposure ignited a lifelong love affair with design and construction.

After honing his skills and nurturing his creative spirit, Esan embarked on a journey of academic excellence, earning his Masters degree in Architecture from the prestigious University of Technology, Sydney (UTS) in 2008. Armed with knowledge, vision, and a relentless pursuit of perfection, he set out to redefine the architectural landscape.

 Key Traits

Peak Architects’ motivation goes beyond seeing a satisfied client and handing over the keys upon a project’s completion. The team itself must be as satisfied that it has delivered the optimum outcome. And if the practice feels that certain features need to be fine-tuned, then they will certainly be addressed.

 On the domestic front, Peak Architects has found that many clients are unable to clearly articulate what they require or are unaware of the different options that can be explored. So, an important part of the design process is the consultation phase and understanding the budget as much as the desired outcomes.

 A Common Thread

For Esan and his team, the design of a building must not just be functional, but as importantly, evoke a certain feel – with the design appearing effortless, seamless and appropriate for its context, and for the cohort it was created for. This approach is inherent in 128 new apartments at Canterbury Road, in Roselands and with a smaller-scale development of 65 apartments in Auburn. Other projects, such as bespoke homes in Byron Bay, demonstrate the extremely high standards set by the practice. Because of their approach to maintaining high standards approximately 80 per cent of its are repeat clients or recommended via word-of-mouth.

 While it may be too early to say that that the practice has ‘peaked’, it’s continually moving in the right direction.

 Fostering Talent

Just as Esan was sought out and given opportunities to thrive by established architects. Peak Architect are committed to fostering the next generation of architectural talent. We're dedicated to mentoring, nurturing, and empowering young talent, showing them how to take lead roles in projects and make a meaningful impact in the industry.

 Under Esan’s leadership Yue has gone from a graduate designer to delivering many complex, high end residential projects. Including a recent approval for a 3 storey luxury home at 49 Beresford Rd Bellevue Hill. While at the same time being instrumental in assisting in office management and marketing.

Laura has gone from a short internship to full time employment and has now delivered 6 commercial / Educational 9b projects which are demanding and fast paced.
